The Ribeira Sacra

Galicia, verdant and rain-swept, is in the northwest of Spain. Here, there is a, magical, mystical land, the sacred fertile plain of legend - the Ribeira Sacra.

This is a land of extraordinary beauty and strong contrasts, with deep river valleys, where the mineral-rich loamy earth combines with a sunny Mediterranean climate to provide a unique setting for growing grapes. These have a special personality that is reflected in the Ribeira Sacra wines.

Our Vineyards

Our vineyards, which are hundreds of years old, descend to the spectacular meanderings of the banks of the Miño River, where it is known as "O Cabo do Mundo" (The End of the World).

We love this land, but working it requires heroic, almost mythical, effort. Visitors gazing at the slopes of our vineyards cannot understand how wine can be got from such a place; but we are brave and daring people, willing to work hard to make our dream come true – to make the best wines, wines that will be there in a thousand years.
