Soil: Granite - slate, with many gravels. Alternating plant cover with farm work

Age of vineyard: 35 years

Harvest: Manual in boxes of 18 kilos

Heroes: The vineyard has been cared by Juan Carlos with the utmost effort and delivery for its vines

Elaboration: The grape is selected manually and is destemmed. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine is not clarified to preserve its qualities and rests for six months in tanks before bottling.

Vintage: The first half of the year was humid, with abundant rainfall and average temperatures. At the end of the spring the climate became very warm which allowed a quiet year in the vineyard and an arrival to the most desirable ripening. The harvest was held on September 22nd

Serving temperature: 12/14º (We recommend you oxygenate all of our wines of Mencía)

Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.

Total acidity: 5.2 g/l

Save time: Up to 2 years. The wine would evolve favorably during the first two years

Tasting Notes: Violet tone and red raspberry, medium layer and crystalline. Aromatically is clean and expressive, fruity, fresh, and with a touch of black fruit and pepper. On the palate, it is very intense, with character, tasty, fruity, good acidity, balanced and long persistence.
